There are three (3) ways to confirm your volunteers. These options are located under Events > Your Events > Confirmation Settings.
Immediate Confirmation Our most popular confirmation option, and the default setting for all events within your VolunteerLocal account. This means that when a volunteer signs up, the job(s) and shift(s) they've selected are immediately confirmed. The "spots available" on your live page will update in real-time, and each volunteer's confirmation email will include a link to his/her profile with the schedule of shifts(s) they've picked.
After Clicking a Link in the Confirmation Message This option will not immediately confirm your volunteers into the job(s) and shift(s) they've selected. Those spots will only be reserved after the volunteer clicks the special link inside the confirmation email. This option is handy if you'd like to ensure that there are no typos in the "email" field on your live page. Volunteers who have not clicked that link can be found inside the Unconfirmed Report, under Volunteers > Unconfirmed List.
After a Manual Review or Assignment by Admins This confirmation option is the "no guarantees" approach. Volunteers can still pick the job(s) and shift(s) they'd like to work at the top of the page, however, the confirmation message contains neither a job/shift summary or a link to the volunteer profile. The volunteers are simply notified that their requested shift-times have been received, and will be taken into consideration.
Administrators (that's you!) can then assign volunteers into specific job(s) and shift(s) from the report page under Volunteers > Report.
