can volunteers register for overlapping shifts?

This is an option you can turn on or off under Events > Your Events > Event Detail.

​Scroll to Signup Page Options. Under Behavior, you’ll see a checkbox to “Allow registrations with overlapping shifts.”

This box will be unchecked - meaning, volunteers cannot register for overlapping shifts - but you can check this box to allow your volunteers to select overlapping shifts.
